Automate the model, not the design

The useful question is not what AI can draw. It is which parts of the work around the drawing it can take.

Two kinds of work

Design work is judgement: proportion, light, how a space is used. Model work is upkeep: keeping data, sheets and families consistent with the decisions already made.

Where automation fits

Upkeep is rule-based and repetitive, which is exactly where software is reliable. Judgement is not, and handing it over removes the part of the job people trained for.
