Small rooms, big breakfasts

A two-bedroom cottage for a couple who cook every morning.

We built the house around the breakfast table: round mirrors to double the light, a banquette in striped ticking and open shelves for the good plates. The bedrooms are small and deliberately so. Everyone ends up in the kitchen anyway.
