The Linden Residences, Highgate

Two show apartments, two characters

For The Linden Residences in north London, Parlor of Plum designed two show apartments. Each one follows an invented resident, and each room was dressed as if she had just stepped out.

The first apartment belongs to a retired singer: velvet, low light, records stacked by the sofa, a piano nobody is allowed to tune. Makers from London and Los Angeles worked on the furniture, the lighting and the ceramics.

Red and cream tiled bathroom with a tub
Olive tiled powder room with gilded frames
Bedroom with an orange paper lantern and a bold portrait painting
Bedroom with a paper lantern and rust bedding
White bed beside a red wall lamp
Dining room with a plum ceiling and long wooden table

More on the project

The second apartment belongs to a botanist who travels too much. It is lighter and more practical, with pressed flowers framed in the hall and a desk that faces the trees.

Both apartments blur the line between staging and living. Parlor of Plum also offers design services to buyers within the building.
