Context
Orvel’s first fully electric saloon had a lighting signature nobody could describe: a thin blue line that runs round the whole car. The launch had to make that line the product, in the dark, in formats from a cinema screen to a phone lock screen, with the car itself kept mostly out of frame.

Application
The car arrives like a signal from far away. We built night scenes where the only light is the blue line: a desert road, an empty car park, a tunnel. Stills, loops and one sixty-second film, all graded to the same blue.

Process
Scenes were blocked in low-poly first, lit with a single emitter, then rebuilt with generated environments. Every frame was checked against the real lamp colour measured from a production car.

Impact
One colour, three months.
The blue line now opens every Orvel launch film. The lighting studio uses our grading notes as a reference for the next two models.
