SELOWERIVER LODGE
Nine suites on stilts above the Lehana River, each with its own deck, pool and outdoor shower.

Set on the outer bend of the Lehana River in the eastern corner of the reserve, with water in view from every room. Nine raised suites stand on timber stilts above the riverbank, built in stone, steel and reclaimed wood. The plan keeps the bush close and the walls few, so the river stays the main event from bed, bath and deck.

Guest Area
The main area has open and closed spaces: a sunken fire pit with built-in seats, a library, and a reed boma for evening meals.
Keep a camera close. Hippo, giraffe and warthog walk past the main deck often, usually at lunch.

Food & Dining
Meals are a large part of the stay: local produce, a garden on the river terrace and a menu that changes daily. Breakfast after the morning drive, lunch on the deck, dinner in the boma.
The kitchen buys from farms and cooperatives within a hundred kilometres. Wine comes from small Cape producers.
Dietary needs are taken care of. Please tell us when you book.

Wellness & Activities
Stay active between drives in the gym, the yoga deck or the long pool at the centre of the lodge.
Guests choose from morning and evening drives across the reserve, guided walks, birding and night drives. Your guide will suggest what suits the weather and the season.

Or do nothing: a massage on the deck, a book in the library, an hour at the shop where everything is made in the Mavhu villages.
On the reserve
Game moves past the lodge all day. These were taken from the main deck in a single week in July.
