Rules

Who should not use the sauna

Talk to a doctor first if you are pregnant, have heart or blood pressure problems, or have had a recent operation. Do not come after alcohol.

If you feel faint, sit on the bottom bench or leave. Tell the person on shift.

Going into the lake

Enter by the ladder, not by diving or jumping: there are rocks under the jetty at 1.2 m.

There is no lifeguard. After dark, never go in alone, and tell someone on the jetty.

The guide on the Lake page is what most cold-water swimmers do. It is not medical advice.

Quiet sessions

Tuesday and Thursday at 07:00. Nobody talks anywhere in the building or on the jetty, and phones stay in the lockers.

Children

Visitors must be 12 or over. People aged 12–15 come with an adult in the same booking, and smoke sauna evenings are for 18 and over.

Throwing water

One ladle per round in the stove room, after asking the top bench. Plain water only, without oils or scents.

Lateness and cancelling

Sessions start on time. If you are more than 20 minutes late we may give your place away.

Cancel up to 6 hours before for a full refund.
