A beach house with a velvet streak

Sand on the floor and velvet on the chairs. The owners wanted both.

We chose performance velvets in coral and fig, braided rugs that forgive wet feet, and fringed lamps from the seventies. The walls stay chalk white so the color can move around. Summer lives here all year.
