A family home that grows up with its kids

Three children, two dogs and a lemon orchard out back. The brief was simple: nothing precious, nothing boring.

We chose washable velvets, a marble table that welcomes crayons, and paneling painted the color of dusk. Built-ins hide the chaos and show off the good stuff. The dining room seats twelve on a school night and twenty at Thanksgiving.
