Schema Week 2026, Brooklyn
Two days in a converted warehouse with 900 developers and editors. Notes from the talks, the hallway and the long walk back to the hotel.

First, a long walk along the waterfront
We arrived a day early and walked from the hotel to the venue, about 6 kilometres along the river. Recommended if your flight lands in the morning and you need to stay awake until night.
Day one: talks and the keynote
The venue was a former printing works with long tables, bad coffee and very good lighting. Most talks were recorded; links will be on the conference site in a few weeks.
The keynote covered six releases, which we explain in a separate post. The best talk of the day came from a public broadcaster that moved 300,000 articles to a new CMS in four months without a content freeze.
Afternoon sessions were split into tracks for developers and editors. We split up too and compared notes over dinner.
Day two: meeting the people behind the product
We left with a list of twelve small requests and two larger ones. The product team took notes and promised a follow-up call in November.
The partner breakfast was the reason we came. We met the product leads for releases and translation and walked through two client cases where the current tools fall short. Both are on the roadmap now.
What this means for 4082
Three things: content releases go into every new project, we will pilot assisted translation on a bilingual client site, and we will send two people again next year.
Back to work
Thanks to the organisers and to everyone who stopped by our table. Photos from the venue are in the gallery above.
Next year the conference moves to Lisbon, which is a short walk from our office. We expect to bring more than two people.
