Brakewell is a production studio making campaigns, music videos and short films. Website with a reel index, case pages and a dark mode.
Art direction
The site works like an edit suite: a timeline of projects, frame counts in the margin and a black theme for viewing reels at night.
Case studies
Each case page puts the film first, then credits, stills and a short production note. Credits use one size and one weight.
Microinteractions
Hover states scramble labels for 300 ms and settle. Buttons draw a 1 px line instead of changing colour.
Quick play
Outside the case pages, any reel can play in place from the index without leaving the list.
Filtering & dark mode
Visitors filter by format and year. The dark theme follows the system setting and can be switched in the footer.
