Repairing cars since 1991
Three generations of panel beaters. One rule: measure before you cut.

A family workshop
Our story
KVR was started in 1991 by Viktor Kovac with one rule: repair work had to match the standard of the cars brought to him. From a two-bay workshop in Petersham, Sydney NSW, the business grew one car at a time through measured work, clear quotes and repairs that did not come back. Over the next twenty years KVR became known for its standards rather than its size, and insurers, dealers and a small list of private owners began asking for the workshop by name.
In 2010, the move to a purpose-built site on Parramatta Road gave the team forty bays, a sealed aluminium room and space for the first electronic measuring jig in the area, and it is still KVR’s head office. A change of generation in leadership brought a new focus: keeping the old habits of the workshop while adding manufacturer approvals and refinish partners.
That focus led to the 2024 opening of KVR Studio in Rosebery, a smaller site for low-volume and collector cars. Today KVR is a body repairer with two sites, sixty-one staff and one way of working. Independent. Family-run. Still measuring before cutting.
